Received this watch for Christmas and I noticed a deep scratch on the face on January 6. I don't remember hitting the watch on anything; I only wear it to work and had it on under a sweater all day, so the scratch is from what I would call normal wear and tear. Because of this watch's sleek design, the face is not protected from scratching. Also, the side buttons are very easy to bump; often, when I check the time, my watch displays "chrono" meaning the mode button has been bumped. Style over substance in my opinion--it is a cool looking watch.

I bought this watch for when I run, however the button placement is awkward and the buttons on my watch are hard to press. I have to really get some pressure on the button before it will register being pressed and this is kind of difficult when I am running. The band also slips out of the band holder thingy. Overall the look and feel of this watch is comfortable.

I prefer watches to timepieces (i.e., clunky status symbols such as Rolex). This watch is nearly perfect for runners, or anyone else for that matter. It is very comfortable, inexpensive, and weather resistant. Large LCD display is great for aging eyes. Large workout storage. Three very versatile alarms (daily, specific day, weekends only settings). Dual time capability great for when traveling to a different time zone. The light button is not the same as the reset like some Nike watches I have owned, so one doesn't wear out the battery quickly when using the reset button. The watch is not perfect as one can only clear the last workout or all the workouts. It would be nice to scroll through saved workouts and clear any desired one. Maybe it does have that ability, but I haven't figured out how to do it. Also, the bands aren't replaceable, but at $40 - $60 I have no problem buying a new one every three years. I have several of the Timex Sleek models and I recomend them highly.
