The necklace starts out with a sterling silver C-chain, which is interrupted on its way down on both sides by wavy pieces of hammered silver. The chain continues down to an amulet of fierce natural beauty. The necklace centerpiece features a lovely piece of petrified wood surrounded by a rim of gold-plated silver that sits on an oval disk of sterling silver, which also boasts a hammered texture around the rim. The petrified wood is an awe-inspiring and unexpected addition to this lovely necklace. It boasts some tremendous earthy color and a striking ring pattern. The whole necklace is 32 inches long and is secured with a toggle clasp.
